Richard “Rick” Jeffery is a Certified Financial Planner and has held this professional designation since 1989. He is a Financial Advisor with Financial Network Investment Management Solutions.
Mr. Jeffery entered the financial services industry in 1978 and has built a practice that specializes in financial planning for individuals and small business owners. In his practice emphasis is placed on intelligent decisions and knowing his clients well. He works closely with each individual to develop a personalized financial plan. Rick incorporates his knowledge and experience in helping clients more effectively work toward their financial goals.
Prior to his joining Financial Network in 1994, Mr. Jeffery was a Financial Consultant for Merrill Lynch for eight years and at IDS/American Express for four years. His first work experience in the field after college was as a Financial Analyst with Getty Oil Company in Ventura, in their Corporate Financial Planning Department.
Mr. Jeffery is an active member and an Ambassador with the Ventura Chamber of Commerce. He also serves on the Board of Managers for the Ventura Family YMCA and chairs the Sports and Youth Programs Committee. He is a past president of a local Toastmaster’s group and is a frequent speaker to area civic and community groups.
Mr. Jeffery graduated with honors from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, with degrees in Business Administration and Economics. He earned his CFP® from the College for Financial Planning, Denver. He has made Ventura home since 1978. His interests are American history, Sailing, and Swing dancing. Both he and his daughters are also avid golfers and when not in his office there is a good chance that you’ll find Mr. Jeffery and his daughters on the golf course. Mr. Jeffery’s personal retirement goal is to be his daughter’s caddy on the LPGA tour.
Mr. Jeffery is a U.S. Army veteran and a former member of the 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment, traditionally known as "The Old Guard." It serves as the Army's ceremonial unit and as escort to the President. While in the Old Guard, Mr. Jeffery participated in hundreds of military funerals at Arlington National Cemetery. Mr. Jeffery is also a former U.S. Army paratrooper.
